Damn, I’m getting this one in at the eleventh hour huh? It’s okay, I had to do it. See, Will Smith reads my webpage. No, I’m not kidding. I’m serious. When I did the movie trailer review for I Am Legend, I said:
“Will Smith just might be the closest thing we have to a real life black superhero.“
Well guess whose coming out with a superhero movie? After controlling last December, Will Smith has decided to go back to running the Summertime. And since Ironman came out in May, Incredible Hulk in June and Batman in the middle of July, why not throw his hat into the superhero genre too? Insanity Check (Obama Opts Out, the Enron Loophole and Retarded Rappers)
As you can see we've been experimenting with different media players. I think I've finally found one that I like. I'll be archiving previous podcasts for download off of ZShare (these things are taking too much room on our server). Anyway, in this podcast we start off by talking about the Miller Lite's bullshit attempt at making a beer with Miller lite Chill and the ballooning homeless crackhead problem in New Carrollton. In political news we talk about Obama opting out of public financing in the General Election as well as his issues with supporting the new surviellance bill. We also talk about the "Enron Loophole" and it's effect on gas prices and go through Articles 6 - 10 of Dennis Kucinich's articles of impeachment against Bush.
In Minority Minutes, Kriss talks about celebrities that have that 1 thing that keeps them from being sexy and the Korean talks about her new business idea of offering child beating services. LOL. Did I call it or what? I admit I was wrong when at the beginning of the season I said that I didn’t think the Celtics would win this first season together. It was a rough road (7 games to beat the Hawks? WTF?) but they did it. I don’t take sides in these things any more, I could live with anyone winning as long as it wasn’t the Cavs or the Spurs. But my main reason for writing this is to rub it in the face of the Kobe Penis Riding Brigade who repeatedly say that Kobe is better than Jordan. Look, he’s the best player in the league. Hands down. But better than Jordan? I’ve been telling you all to stop that nonsense. This Finals just proved it. 22 points in an elimination game? 0 in the 4th quarter? Come on…I don’t want to hear the names Jordan and Kobe in the same sentence EVER again. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I’m sure out in LA the Kobe riders are having a tough time. I think M. The Next Michael Jordan
If you were expecting a picture of Kobe Bryant or Lebron James, Kill yourself. Seriously, after these last couple of months I don’t want to hear anyone speak the names Kobe Bryant or Lebron James in the same breath as Jordan. Even if the Lakers come back and win the Finals against the Celtics, Kobe’s performance in Game 4 proves to me that he’s not ready or able to carry the Jordan mantel. In that stage of his career, Jordan would never have allowed his team to blow an 18 point lead with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter of a Finals game and lose. Period. Lebron? Well, first off his game is more like Magic’s but even then, when he gets more consistent with the jumper and finishing games, talk to me. Until then, the “next Jordan” is Tiger Woods. I put that in quotations because to be honest, I think Tiger surpasses Jordan in some respect. Let me start off by saying I’m not a golf fan. Never have been and never will be. But you better believe I was hitting F5 repeatedly on my work laptop as I tried to find out just what the hell was going on at the U.S. Open. Just like Jordan, Woods has redefined the game of golf. Primetime coverage of golf? WTF is that? What Tiger did during this U.S. Open was on par with any of Jordan’s greatest achievements. R. Kelly Being Not Guilty is the Last Straw
If you’ve ever watched Fox News then you will have undoubtedly seen the argument made that the citizens of this country are among the most intelligent in the world. It makes headlines over at Fox News whenever some foreign leader or newspaper calls Americans stupid. I happened to catch a glimpse of Sean Hannity’s America where he was going into this America-love fest where he was comparing Americas tolerance for other races and religions to some other countries in an attempt to show that America was ahead of the curve (of course he left out the part about Slavery, the Salem Witch hunts, Japanese American internments, etc.). Hannity’s tagline? “Why America is the Greatest Nation on Earth.” The sad thing is, most people that watch that will get all teary eyed and cheer as they stroke the flag pin on their lapel. See, Fox New’s ratings and status in this country (they are the most watched news station) is predicated on the fact that the majority of citizens in this country are illogical morons. Quite frankly, I believe that the majority of the people in this country are morons. It’s easy to trick and confuse a moron. Want proof? Look no further than the R. Kelly trial and the acquittal of that pedophile. When I heard on the radio that R. Kelly was acquitted of all charges of child pornography I was completely disgusted but even worse, I was not surprised. Why should I be surprised that 12 America citizens would find a rich celebrity not guilty of a crime despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary? In a logical and rational world you could have seated 12 blind, convicted pedophiles in the jury box, shown them the R. Kelly tape (remember, they are blind) and even they would have found this pervert guilty. Some members of the R. Kelly jury have defended their decision by saying that while they were sure it was R. Kelly on the tape they weren’t sure it was the alleged victim so they had a “reasonable doubt” and they acquitted. *sigh* Obviously someone needs to explain to these morons that the word REASON is in REASONable. That means you have to use reason, “The capacity for logical, rational, and analytic thought; intelligence“, to make a decision. Just having doubt by itself isn’t enough. If you take all the evidence and put it together, there’s no way a rational person would have “reasonable” doubt that R. Kelly was innocent. Here, let me break it down....Click for more
